Hello viccowface, I finally gave up since now the Search Tool cannot find the Wanscam any more. The green powerlight in front and at the ethernet connector goes out after about 25 seconds and goes back on about 2-4 seconds later.

This on-off sequence repeats itself continuously. I assume that there has been a hardware problem from the beginning which got worse and worse. I contacted Lightinthebox in order to get the camera replaced. I am waiting for their reply now.
